The project CRPD aims at developing the necessary infrastructure with a view to increasing the efficiency of research and development activities by creating the “Research-Development Pavilion” within the Colentina Hospital in Bucharest.

The CRPD project aims at refurbishing a modern research centre in a decommissioned pavilion of Colentina Clinical Hospital. The existing building is integrated in the hospital complex and had been used as pavilion of beds and investigation laboratories until 2003. Medical and surgical research teams of Colentina Hospital perform their activity in restricted spaces provided by pavilions that are still functional.

The CRPD project reunites in one pavilion the research teams of Colentina Clinical Hospital. The 14 medical and surgical specialities will carry on in the research departments, which will be realised according with present standards regarding space and endowments. The following specialities: alergology, parasitology, neurology, dermatology  will run with facilities unique in our country. The other departments will represent excellence centres in their domains.

By hosting the all 14 research departments together in the generous spaces of the Research Pavilion, it is expected the development of the highest specific activities, including very complex projects involving departments with different specific activities.
